Three males caught stripping stolen truck in Meyerton

It was later found that the Truck was hijacked the previous night in Rusternburg and a case of Hijacking has since been launched.

MEYERTON.-Three male suspects have been arrested for possession of stolen property after they were caught red-handed, stripping a stolen truck recently.

According to police spokesperson Constable Maria Letsele, police received a tip-off regarding a stolen Truck at Raymond Street in Koolfontein Meyerton.

“On arrival, Warrant Officer Henk Dryer, Warrant Officer Glendolene Dryer, Sergeant Wiese and Constable Smith immediately arrested the three suspects for Possession of Suspected Stolen Property.

“Next to the truck was a new set of number plates, motor vehicle disc and tools. It was later found that the Truck was hijacked the previous night in Rusternburg and a case of Hijacking has since been launched. All three suspects were detained and will appear in court soon.”
