VEREENIGING.- Beauty lies in the eyes of a beholder! 23- year-old Refilwe Mokoena is one of the finalists in the running for the overall title of Face of Mzansi 2018. The Face of Mzansi pageant started out at the Miss Face of Vaal pageant in 2005, but due to increasing interest from women across the country, the pageant changed its name and Face of Mzansi was officially born.
This pageant is not so much focused on beauty and outward appearance – it rather focuses on entrepreneurship and professional career development. Mokoena is originally from Petrus Steyn in the Free State and currently resides in Vereeniging. She is a student at the Sedibeng TVET where she is studying Information Technology (IT).
“ I am passionate, kind and loving person whose fulfilment about the purpose of life comes from serving others and my hobbies include playing netball, singing and baking,” she said.
After completion of her studies, she plan to follow her chosen career path while modelling is one of her extra skills that she has under her sleeves. Mokoena intends to use this skill to change the world and become the influence that inspirers the change.
