SHARPEVILLE. – It is that time of the year when the Sedibeng soccer teams prepare for the 7th Annual Makgotamishe Winter Tournament scheduled to take place at the James and Pepsi dusty soccer grounds from June 23 – 14 July.
This off-season soccer tournament will see 32 senior and junior soccer teams battle it out through the June school holidays.
All the teams are invited to attend the meeting scheduled to take place at Emmanuel Primary School next to James ground in Sharpeville on June 8 for the senior teams and June 9 for junior soccer teams.
This was revealed to Sedibeng Ster Sport by the tournament organisers Thabang Mazibuko and Isaac Manyeu in a media statement. This annual soccer tournament is organised and sponsored by Makgotamishe Holdings (PTY) LTD as part of its social responsibility programmes. According to the two , this year’s tournament will be run differently due to the high demands of the teams in and around Sedibeng.
Meanwhile, Vaal Milano FC is the defending champion of this much anticipated winter soccer tournament, which promises to be fire works this year.
