Bird Club’s activities in April

All bird enthusiasts are invited to the April activities of the Vaal Bird Club

 

 

* Club evening: Monday April 9 at 19:00 – Steve Blake will give a talk on a wild life travel experience through Western Canada (Rocky Mountains) and Alaska. The venue for the meeting is the Old Mutual Building in Vanderbijlpark.

* Club outing, Saturday April 14 – Alf Peters will lead an outing to Marievale Bird Sactuary. Bird lovers meet in the car park at the Entrance Gate at 07:30.

* Wakkerstroom outing at the end of April 2018 – Club secretary Rina de Klerk has booked the Wakkerstroom centre for Friday April 27 (a public holiday) to Wednesday May 2 (as Tuesday May 1 is also a public holiday). Bird enthusiasts can go for two nights (Friday and Saturday, coming back on Sunday) or longer (stay until Tuesday May 1 or Wednesday May 2).

So far only eight club members are going and there are still eight dormitories (two beds each) available. A bird guide will be available for the morning of Saturday (April 28) and for the Sunday morning (April 29).
