One killed and one injured in collision

RANDVAAL. – ER24 reports that a 22-year-old man was killed while another man sustained moderate injuries in a collision between a van and a truck on the R59 in Randvaal yesterday.

“ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene where Midvaal Fire and Rescue services used The Jaws of Life to free the 22-year-old man from the van. Unfortunately, there was nothing paramedics could do to save his life and he was declared dead on the scene.”

Another man, believed to be 25 years old, sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Kopanon Hospital in Vereeniging for further medical care.The exact circumstances surrounding the incident were not yet known to our paramedics.
