SASOLBURG. – The police in Zamdela are investigating a case of culpable homicide regarding the death of Mr Molokotsi Enoch Mathebula (53) in August this year.
On Saturday, 19 August 2017 at about 17:20, the body of Mr Mathebula was found laying on the R57 near Polifin.
As far as the Police could establish, Mr Mathebula was on his way to work, riding a bicycle, which was also found a few meters from his body. He was apparently hit by a vehicle.
* In a separate case, on Monday 5 June 2017 at about 04:45, the body of Mr Justice Moramang Tshabalala (25) was found on the R59, about 15km from Sasolburg towards Parys.
The deceased’s friend Jacob Radebe says he and the deceased were walking from Sasolburg, going to Parys. While they were hiking, a silver Isuzu bakkie drove towards them and hit the deceased. The suspect left the scene.
