Sad news: Two killed, five injured in R24 collision
Sadly, an adult male and a young girl were found with fatal injuries inside one of the vehicles
Two people, an adult and a child, were killed in a collision on the R24 approximately 10 kilometres outside Rustenburg this morning (Christmas Day, 25 December 2017).
Werner Vermaak, spokesperson for ER24, reports that paramedics from ER24, Fire Services and other EMS arrived on the scene shortly before 08:00 this morning, where they found the two vehicles mangled together.
Five people were found with minor to moderate injuries. Paramedics treated them on scene before transporting them to nearby hospitals for further care. Sadly, an adult male and a young girl were found with fatal injuries inside one of the vehicles.
The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are not yet known. Local authorities attended the scene and will conduct a full investigation.
