Police recover suspected stolen laptops from Vereeniging shop

About 150 laptops were recovered from a Vereeniging shop after two suspects arrested for house robbery told the police that they used the shop to sell property seized during house robberies in the Vereeniging CBD, Riverbend Gardens and Riverspray.

VEREENIGING. – Vereeniging police recently arrested a 28-year-old man at a Vereeniging shop for being in possession of suspected stolen property. About 150 laptops were recovered from a Vereeniging shop after two suspects arrested for house robbery told the police that they used the shop to sell property seized during
house robberies in the Vereeniging CBD, Riverbend Gardens and Riverspray.

Police spokesperson captain Fikile Funda says, “The suspect was remanded in custody for further investigation and bail application. He is being charged with possession of suspected stolen property.” Funda further reported that in total, 31 people were arrested in Vereeniging for various crimes. “People must refrain from carrying huge amounts of money in their cars especially during this time of the year as robbers are all over in town watching them.”
