VEREENIGING. – Police are investigating a case of house robbery after a man, his wife and daughter were recently attacked in their house by two coloured males. The one man was carrying a knife while the other one carried a firearm. The incident happened in Three Rivers.
Police Spokesperson Captain Fikile Funda says, “The suspects asked for money, Jewellery and firearms. They promised that they would not harm or rape the victims if they cooperate.They then took the wedding rings belonging to the mother and her daughter before they took all the victims to the bedroom. The suspects further seized property amounting to R9000.”
Funda adds that the suspects attempted to take the car in the garage but then left it and took the keys instead. “The suspects spoke Afrikaans fluently. Anyone who might have information regarding this incident can call 016450 2263/4. “
