Rust-ter-Vaal hosts Inter Primary Athletics Day

This Year Rust-ter-Vaal Primary School had the opportunity to host the Annual Inter Primary Athletics meeting. Each school that is part of the Vereeniging “Hoofdekring” has the opportunity to host this event every five years. The event was held on February 15 at Hoërskool Overvaal.

The schools that participated at this event were from the “western circle”. They were Laerskool Handhawer, Selbourne Primary School, Arcon Park Primary, Laerskool Vryheidsmonument, Laerskool Unitaspark and Rust-ter-Vaal Primary School. Approximately 100 athletes from each school and all their educators were present.

A Carnival theme was the order of the day. Rust-ter-Vaal had drum majorettes and a team of “Kaapse Klopse” to entertain the learners and parents and set the tone. Educators from Rust-ter-Vaal were dressed in red to celebrate “Valentines Month”.
