EVATON. – Cases of fraud are on the rise as Evaton Police search for another suspect by the name of Mboniseni Mnyandu. Police spokesperson Captain Aubrey Moopeloa confirms that a case of fraud is linked to the suspect, who is wanted for questioning.
It is alleged Mnyandu’s information was used on the fraud link where his account was used. Money was deposited into the suspect’s account and police are on the lookout for him after the victim opened a case.
“A certain amount of money was deposited into the suspect’s account. The complainant opened a case after he deposited money into the suspect’s account to buy a car. Thereafter his phone just rang without response and that raised the suspicion that he (the complainant) had been defrauded,” said Moopeloa.
Evaton Police appeal to Mboniseni Themba Mnyandu or any person who might have information as to his whereabouts to contact Evaton Detective Sergeant Tsotetsi on (016) 596 1104 /071 746 9512 A/H or Captain Moopeloa on 079 694 6749 A/.
