Air Products donates to local schools

BOPHELONG. - Air Products lives up to its mission and vision by pumping millions of rands into needy schools.

A much needed school hall, kitchen and enclosed assembly area were built in three schools. Bophelong Community, Seeiso Primary and Lebohang Secondary School were the first to receive the magnificent new structures on February2.

With at least R3, 8 million accumulated to develop and support schools, the funds were used to facilitate better education for learners. Air Products strategic corporate social investment (CSI) is focusing on youth and edu-cation to make a difference in the lives of learners.

The Department of Education was given a platform from which to identify the need of schools in the area. Seeiso Primary requested a kitchen from which to prepare food for the school feeding scheme. Bophelong Primary had suitable space for  school hall. Lebohang Secondary requested enclosing of the area used for assembly and meetings Air Products erected a roof structure for shelter.

Rob Richards, managing director of Air Products, thanks the suppliers for their contributionto the ‘G-Plan CSI Fund’. The com- pany is extremely grateful to companies that joined hands to make a difference. This is our way of giving back to the community, he said.

The principal of Bophelong Primary, Johan Smit, had on behalf of the school welcomed with open arms the job done by Air Products. The school never had a shelter in which to host assembly and meetings.

The structure comes at the right time, said Smit. Keep up the good work, Air Products. Without you we would have struggled for the next generation to come, said the principal of Seeiso Primary, Mokhothu.
