Summer is here and the spirit of adventure awaits!
The months of summer bring with it the hot weather that South Africans love, the excitement that school's done, the end of the year is in sight and the spirit of adventure awaits. To celebrate, Emerald Resort & Casino has announced a host of activities and events suitable for visitors of all ages.
Besides several available Christmas specials, Emerald Resort & Casino is hosting beach sports, brand new Warrior Race styled obstacle course, One Night with Nathi & Vusi Nova, Jazz Under the Stars and Feel Good Sundays.
“Our events and entertainment team has been working hard behind the scenes to ensure that we offer an action-packed, adventure filled entertainment programme with something for everyone to enjoy,” says Emerald Resort & Casino’s Marketing Executive Tanuja Gangabishun. “Apart from great entertainment, we also have fantastic gaming promotions, accommodation rates and restaurant specials on offer this festive season.”
With a couple of firsts at the Resort this year, Vusi Nova & Nathi Makanyi take to the stage at the Resort’s E&E Centre while adventure maxes out at the Resort’s Adventure Park in the form of a Warrior Race styled obstacle course. This obstacle race, built by Warrior Race themselves, is sure to bring out the adventure and competitive spirit and like SA’s largest obstacle race series, it promises to be an absolutely exhilarating experience.
The heat gets turned up at Aquadome where beach sport fun includes beach volleyball, 5-a-side soccer, touch rugby, Zorb soccer and 2-a-side basketball.
“Our summer programme is supplemented by events like our Feel Good Sundays with Finzo, Vetkoek and Mahoota at Breeze, the ever popular Jazz Under the Stars event and loads of gaming promotions,” says Tanuja. “And, of course we celebrate our baby mascot, Bubbles the hippo’s 5th birthday party on 26 December – everyone’s invited – and guests will party into the New Year at the ultimate party of year, our Vaal NYE Party.”
“We’ve also increased party options for kids at the Resort,” says Tanuja. “We’ve recently built a brand new deck at Animal World that will enable us to host parties and events within our very own zoo.
