Son chokes and robs disabled mother

VANDERBIJLPARK. - A disabled mother was choked and robbed of cash by her own son.

The Bophelong suspect is still at large, says Police spokesperson Sergeant Gertrude Makhale.

The incident happened over the weekend. The police urge communities to take a stand and report children breaking the law to the policestation – especially children committing crimes and not being reprimanded by the police.
She said robberies had picked up in the CBD. Unbelievably, it’s mostly female suspects grabbing bags. The community is advised to be on the lookout, even though it’s males who normally rob stores at gunpoint. The community must be alert, especially as we enter the festive season.
