Mantoa Marriam Motaung says her father is Dan Mofokeng, who used to live in Small Farms and sometimes in Zone 3. Mofokeng was dating Motaung’s mother and later Poppy Sarah Motaung a 49-year-old woman who was laid to rest in 2009.
The dead Sarah has torn Motaung’s heart apart as she has thus not been able to explain who her father is. Her daughter Motaung now believes she is being haunted by her late mother: “If she could have told me who my father is maybe the bad spell I’m living in would never had happened. Now I’m going through a traditional calamity of my own. I have no direction since I don’t know who I am.”
Annah Monki Motauing, Motaung’s half-sister (36) said she knew Motaung’s father through her youth: “I remember that I was a child but my memory can only go back as far as remembering that his name was Dan from Small Farm,” said Annah.
Motaung said she feels her life would be better only if she could knew who her father was. She went to a traditional examination where a prophet has cited the hidden secrets she needs to pry into the open.
