The deceased was declared no more after emergency personnel were deployed to the scene in Zone 13. Apparently, the two boys were fighting on the school premises at Sizanani. It was alleged that the school management tried to intervene because the fight was getting serious. They chased the boys off the school premises hoping that this might dissolve the feud. Unfortunately, this only aggravated the situation.
According to a bystander, the two learners took the fight to the street. It is alleged that the deceased beat up the other learner who ran home and came back with his ‘uncle.’
Their revenge punches soon turned into murder.
Police spokesperson Captain Teboho Lephoto confirms that a case of murder has been opened by Sebokeng SAPS. “We are investigating a case of murder and we have arrested two family members. Both suspects were detained and have already appeared in the Magistrates Court in a first appearance,” he said.
Sedibeng Ster could not speak to the school as the matter can only be commented on by the Department of Education.
