SHARPEVILLE.- A two-month old baby was almost killed when a tenant allegedly burned down his girlfriend’s shack on Sunday night in Tshepiso.The fire not only destroyed their shack, it escalated to the landlord’s house where the two-month old baby was sleeping.

It was clear the man who is known only as ‘Dingane’ was very angry when he found out that his girlfriend was sleeping with another man. It is alleged that Dingane works in Johannesburg and he only comes around to visit with Puleng- his girlfriend – when he is off.
This weekend Puleng apparently thought he was on duty. When Dingane came around to visit. The landlord, Sidney Masindwa, told him that she was at her new boyfriend’s house. The suspect was so angered by this that he burned down the shack and left.
