EVATON. - Former journalist Benny Mokoena was recently stabbed to death. The community of Small Farms found his lifeless body sprawled in the middle of the road on Sunday.

EVATON. – Former journalist Benny Mokoena was recently stabbed to death. The community of Small Farms found his lifeless body sprawled in the middle of the road on Sunday. It is apparent that Mokoena might have been killed on Saturday night since he was found in the early hours of the morning on Sunday. “Mokoena was a teacher by profession, taught at several schools around the region and worked at Vaal Vision Newspaper before going back to teaching somewhere in Polokong,” said his uncle.

He leaves behind his three children – two girls and a boy. His death came as a shock to the community. According to the family, Mokoena was not killed where he was found. The uncle who was on the scene first claims there were no signs of blood or any sign of a fight. Matla said his nephew’s death was driven by jealousy. “Three of the possible suspects (there were four) have been arrested. A cell phone was found in the possession of one of the suspects. “We want justice to take its course,” said the uncle. The funeral will be on Saturday where those who loved Mokoena will pay their last respects. Bystanders at the scene told Sedibeng Ster Mokoena died a horrible death. They ‘hope his killers rot in jail.’
