Potchefstroom: The police in Tshidilamolomo arrested a 19-year-old suspect on Thursday, July 7, 2016, for an alleged rape of a 52-year-old woman.
The suspect was arrested after the victim laid a charge in which she alleged that the suspect, who is her nephew, raped her.
The 19-year-old was arrested after the victim laid a charge of rape, she explained to police that her nephew grabbed her and pinned her down as she unlocked the front door when she arrived home the evening. He then fled the scene after he had raped her.
The suspect is expected to appear in the Mmabatho Magistrates’ Court today.
