VEREENIGING. – Yolisa Yawa of Sonlandpark says she is still coming to terms with the fact that she has to start from scratch after all of her family’s belongings were consumed by a fire last week.
The incident happened on June 22. The Emfuleni Fire Department was called to the scene. No injuries were reported by officials at the scene.
“I am still trying to make sense of everything. I still can not say how that fire started, everything is still just a blurr to me.” Yawa says she along with her husband and four kids have had to temporarily relocate.
“I am just glad that no one got hurt during the fire, for all I know I could have been in there. I am grateful to be alive.”
