Pretoria - The search was on for former SABC CEO Solly Mokoetle‚ who had been reported missing after he was last seen on Friday, June 17.

Pretoria – The search was on for former (SABC) CEO Solly Mokoetle‚ who had been reported missing after he was last seen on Friday, June 17.

According to media reports, it was believed he went to meet someone at the gate of his home, in Umhlanga, in his pajamas at around 10pm and never returned home.

Minister of Communications Faith Muthambi had expressed concern and shock at the disappearance of Mokoetle, who is employed by the Department as the Head of their Broadcasting Digital Migration Project Management.

“As the Ministry of Communications, we are concerned about his welfare. We call upon anyone who may have seen him recently or know his whereabouts to contact the family or the police,” said Minister Muthambi.

However the former South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) CEO Solly Mokoetle has been found in a state hospital in KwaZulu-Natal.

It’s understood that he suffered a stroke.

Mokoetle’s wife Zola Mthuli says details are still sketchy.
