Young women share secrets to success

“I literally saw patterns wherever I went when I was back in school. I fell in love with the creative process. I am a creator. When you find that one thing that was meant for you, there is no turning back.”

SEBOKENG. – Rough Diamonds movement through their seminar dubbed ‘From Pain to Purpose’ saw young women from all walks of life come together to share their life experiences in a bid to uplift one another.

Rough Diamonds is a movement that was established for young women who are still trying to discover their purpose and worth. One of the founders, Ntsoaki Makoetlana says, “Every hurdle we cross carries a lesson within it, and every wound carries a story with it and as we live we should learn; as we learn we should teach. This is what this movement is about – uplifting one another.”
The event was graced by young successful women such as chartered accountant Neo Panane, Doctor Eva Bambo, fashion stylist Linda Sifumba, television presenter Jessica Tims and motivational speaker and fashion designer Prudence Mphapong.
Mphapong told the audience that although she wanted to have a fancy professional title, she had to answer her calling of becoming a fashion designer.
“I literally saw patterns wherever I went when I was back in school. I fell in love with the creative process. I am a creator. When you find that one thing that was meant for you, there is no turning back.”Mphapong told young women to be comfortable in their own skin. “You can only excel at being you. Do not wish to become or to live like somebody else. Always strive to be the best ‘you’.”
