Two people were killed and 15 others left injured after two taxi’s were involved in a partial head-on collision earlier this yesterday morning.
The collision occurred on Weilbach Road in Meyerton, Gauteng. When ER24 paramedics arrived on scene they found that one of the taxi’s had overturned. After assessment of the scene, paramedics found that amongst the two fatalities, there were two people with critical injuries and 13 people with moderate injuries. ER24 treated and transported five patients to various hospitals, including Mediclinic Vereeniging for further treatment. The remaining patients were treated and transported by other medical services on scene. The cause of the incident remains unknown, local authorities were on scene for further investigation.
