Three suspects appeared recently in different courts for separate cases of murder.
A 31-year-old suspect appeared in the Ventersdorp Magistrate’s Court for the murder of her 32-year-old sister. According to information the suspect, and her sister allegedly had a heated argument. The suspect drew out a knife and allegedly stabbed her sister in the chest. The victim was transported to a local hospital where she later died. The incident occurred on Saturday. 16 April.
In another unrelated case that occurred in Lichtenburg, two suspects both aged 30, appeared in the Lichtenburg Magistrates’ Court charged with the murder of a 26-year-old victim. The incident occurred at Extension 4, Tlhabologang Township near Coligny.
The police found the victim lying on the ground with multiple stabbed wounds on the body after responding to a complaint of a fight. The victim was certified dead by Emergency Medical and Rescue Services (EMRS). The suspects were traced and arrested the same day on Saturday, 16 April 2016, in Orkney.
