SEBOKENG.- Angry patrollers and Community Policing Forum (CPF) members across Sedibeng region marched against CPF regional and Sebokeng Chairperson Bikkie Nketle and his executive office on Friday morning.

Issues on their memorandum were handed to the Sebokeng Station Commander Brigadier Jan Scheepers along with Robert Dube, Assistant Director, Community Police Relations. Amongst the demands in the memorandum was that:
“ The CPF uses the chairperson’s personal bank account. We demand payment from Agriculture Imbizo, Labour Department, SOPA. We feel that the only structure that still exists is that of patrollers’ simply because that is where leadership gains access to fraud. We demanded the CPF AGM due to failure of structures within 21 days.
“Should we not receive any response, we will do a sit-in at Sebokeng SAPS,” says Tsietsi Nhlapo from CPF during a brief interview with Sedibeng Ster. The petition was signed by members before the march commenced.
The protestors demonstrated their anger outside Sebokeng Police Station gates by chanting and singing. Brigadier Scheepers was forced out of his office to attend to the grievances of the CPF protesting members.

Nhlapo said that they have lost confidence in their leaders. He further read their demands: “ The entire CPF executive committee must be suspended immediately. Scheepers said they will look into the matter as he received the memorandum from CPF protesters.
