The march started in Evaton North and went to Mafatsane Police Station. “We condemn in the strongest possible terms the brutality, rape, torture and killings of LGBTI which in the past year have become worrying.

Not only is it a cause for concern because 21 years since the dawn of democracy, we still have single minded people who would take the life of a person just on the basis of their sexual orientation or gender expression. We also call on law enforcement institutions to act swiftly in their efforts to bring the perpetrators to book and let them face the full might of the law,” said Cedric Davids of YCLSA, Gauteng.

Police are investigating a murder case.
