If you feel you need cheering up and are tired of winter, Brexit, the economy, the upcoming elections and everything else, there is good news ahead! The launch of the annual Vaal River Meander Wine Route is almost here. The launch is at the Vaal Wine Show, which is on this Friday July 8 and Saturday July 9. You can savor over 200 wines for only R70 (early bird tickets) or R80 at the door – which includes a wine tasting glass and an exciting goody bag filled with lots of vouchers.
This year’s launch (Wine Show) is at BON Riviera on Vaal (it is usually at Emerald) – and as usual, it is the social event of the year in the Vaal. This year is scheduled to be special, with lots of warmth and charm at this lovely venue. Get ready for some cosy wine tasting in a lovely atmosphere, perfect for “kuiering.” It is the perfect occasion to meet up with your friends, family or work colleagues and indulge in some serious socialising. Casual meals will be available too, should you want a bite to eat and BON Hotel Riviera on Vaal’s restaurants will be open too. Wine Show Times are 17:00 to 21:00 on Friday and 15:00 till 20:00 on Saturday at the BON Hotel Riviera on Vaal, Vereeniging.
The Wine Show on July 8 and 9 is the official launch of the annual Vaal River Meander Wine Route which starts the next weekend, on July 16. The route is on every weekend for the next 6 weeks till August 21. Wine lovers and those just experimenting with wine tasting are treated to over 200 wines at 17 different venues in the Vaal.
