SHARPEVILLE. – Who will be crowned the 2018 Makgotamishe Winter Soccer Tournament Champions?

This is a question that the local soccer fraternity are asking themselves ahead of the much anticipated finals scheduled to take place at James Ground on Saturday. As things stand, Moswenko FC is already in the final awaiting the winner between X FC (formerly Vaal Milano) and Bekelebeke FC. The game between X FC and Bekelebeke FC didn’t finish because of the darkness. The game is scheduled to be replayed on Saturday morning. X FC consists of the players that won the tournament with Vaal Milano FC last year.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sports, tournament coordinator Sello Tshabalala said they are expecting the mother of all the finals come Saturday. Tshabalala said all the finals will play on the same day, the programme starting with the juniors’ soccer team finals. Tshabalala told Sedibeng Ster that they are expecting a humdinger final come Saturday.
The winner will smile all the way to the bank with a cheque for R80 000 for their effort.

“I must say we are anticipating exciting finals from the junior teams to the senior teams on Saturday. On behalf of the Makgotamishe committee I want to thank all the teams that participated in this year’s tournament. “We have achieved our objective to keep these youngsters, especially junior soccer teams, busy during the school holidays,” he concluded.
