Fraud cases on the rise in Evaton

"If something seems too good to be true, it probably is."

EVATON.- The Evaton Police have raised concerns over the increasing number of complaints related to fraudulent pyramid schemes in the area. These schemes, which falsely promise quick and high returns on investment, have left many residents financially devastated.

Evaton police spokesperson, Constable Thulisile Msibi, urged the community to avoid joining or recruiting others into these illegal schemes.

“We are seeing a lot of people getting involved in pyramid schemes that ultimately lead to financial loss. If something seems too good to be true, it probably is,” said Msibi.

Police are appealing to the public to be vigilant and report any suspected fraud.
