Miss Jozi 2024 Finalist aims to bring crown to the Vaal

“I am an advocate for gender equality and diversity.”

SEBOKENG.- Born and bred in Lakeside, Sebokeng’s Rethabile Letsae (21) is a finalist for Miss Jozi 2024.

Currently residing in Vanderbijlpark SE 3, Rethabile was raised by a single mother with the help of her sister and brother-in-law.  She started modelling from a young age, participating in school-based pageants in grades two and seven, then from grade nine realised she had a passion for the contests.

“My first pageant, outside school-based pageants, was a fashion show where I learnt how to walk. Since then, I have never looked back. I have two siblings and am the youngest.”

Rethabile is a Beauty Therapist by profession, a learner and a model at heart.

“I’m also a founder of ‘We-men are checkmates’ campaign, which is a platform aimed at empowering boys and equipping them with tools they need through a game of chess. With the rules of chess, we know that a Queen is the most powerful piece on the board and the King is the most important piece hence the name ‘We-men are checkmates’.”

She has done various charity work in her community and holds a few titles that include the Miss Heritage eMalahleni ambassador 2023, Miss Xpress second princess, the Miss personality 2022, Miss MCP 2019, and currently she is the Miss Jozi 2024 finalist hoping to bring the crown home.

“I am an advocate for gender equality and diversity.”

Miss Jozi 2024 is taking place on October 12 at the Victory Theatre in Johannesburg.
