VANDERBIJLPARK –. Muhuliseni Madzhinga (18) is another shining young basketballer who is destined for a great future in basketball. He was Man of the Match in the game between Sedibeng and West Rand.

This was during the Gauteng Men U18 Basketball League match played at the Vaal University of Technology’s Basketball Courts recently. He was on top of his game scoring goals like they were going out of fashion.
Sedibeng Ster Sport tracked down this shy looking small-forward to find out more about his ambitions and why he chose basketball over other sporting activities. This is what he had to say: “I really love this sport. I was recruited by my friend to play basketball and I must say I never looked back.”
The Sedibeng Basketball Team beat West Rand 47-21 and they are now third on the Gauteng U18 Men Basketball League log standing with four points. Johannesburg is second on the log with five points. The Ekurhuleni Basketball Team is first on the log with six points. Madzhinga said the aim is to be crowned as the league champions.
However, he acknowledges the fact that the league is very competitive and they are playing against the best in Gauteng.
All the teams have played three games, with Sedibeng losing two. They registered their first win against West Rand.
