Bosa Sedibeng disbanded due to infighting

"We do not see anything wrong with reshuffling as we deal with activists who are politically sound and matured enough to understand the importance of this decision.”

SEDIBENG – Only a month after the national elections, after much electioneering and campaigning, the Sedibeng structure of the Build One South Africa (Bosa) has been disbanded by the party’s national leadership following internal disputes.

The Sedibeng region structure was disbanded on July 6 by national leadership due to “instability, infighting, lack of internal cooperation, and cohesion and counter accusations.”

The leadership, through its national office communications department said that the region also did not perform well in the elections due to the above-mentioned issues.

“A new regional structure and coordinator will be appointed soon after a reform. The region got the least votes in Gauteng, (becoming the) worst performing region due to internal instability. Essentially two factions working against each other for control.”

The recently disbanded Bosa’s Regional Leader, Enerst Nkopane said that the resolution by Bosa’s national leadership to implement “reshuffling plans” comes at the right time in order to try to defuse any animosity within the ranks in the region.

“We have decided to start afresh and a newly appointed regional organiser will be introduced soon. This will enable us to implement our new strategy, since the work towards 2026 Local General Elections has already begun and we are only 18 months away. Therefore, we must service the communities without any form of internal differences that might impact negatively to the organisation,” said Nkopane.

Nkopane added that they know that the Sedibeng constituency and the communities in all three municipalities (Emfuleni, Midvaal and Lesedi) will continue to rally behind him in any role of responsibility that might be assigned to him.

“We can assure the community that, as the region we have resolved any challenges we encountered internally during National Elections Campaigns for the sake of respect that we have for the voters who gave the mandate to hold Sedibeng Public Representatives to account. We do not see anything wrong with reshuffling as we deal with activists who are politically sound and matured enough to understand the importance of this decision.”
