SEDIBENG.- Emfuleni Local Football Association (ELFA) Development League used their league programme as a platform to select the squad over the weekend.

All the four streams, namely, Evaton, Sebokeng, Vereeniging and Vanderbijlpark selected 18 players that will compete against each other this coming Saturday, 27 July. This programme is specifically for the u/15 boys and girls born in 2009, 2010 and 2011.

The players were selected during the league matches at various venues on Saturday and Sunday with the main aim being to select the best talent to represent Emfuleni. This was revealed to Sedibeng Ster Sport by the ELFA Technical Development Officer Tsimo Motsepe.

During each and every league match neutral coaches selected players from that particular match. This is a great opportunity for the youngsters to impress the selectors to be selected for this SAFA Academies Programme. We received this correspondence from SAFA National Office to select u/15 boys and girls. I have already communicated the message with all the relevant parties and the selections were done during the league matches over the weekend.”
