Kgatla and Moloto do some charity work

“What I was doing today was part of what is required from me to do some charity work."

BOIPATONG.-  Sedibeng Ster bumped into two beautiful young ladies Pearl Kgatla (19) and Thando Moloto (24) doing community charity work on Mandela Day last week Thursday.

Kgatla is in the semi-finals of the 2024 Miss Face of Gauteng Teenager while Moloto is a Miss Gauteng 2024 Finalist. The two were involved in charity work as part of their participation assessment for the competitions, to do some charity work within their community.  Speaking to Sedibeng Ster in a joint interview, the two well spoken ladies were confident that they will make their presence be felt in this competition.

The Miss Face of Gauteng Teenager semi-finals are scheduled to take place in Pretoria in September with Miss Gauteng 2024 finals scheduled to take place in Johannesburg in December. Kgatla told Sedibeng Ster that she wants to make a career in the beauty industry and she believes she is on the right track to achieve her dreams.

“I want to be the next Miss South African and with the support of my family and community I think I’m going to achieve this. I feel proud to be in the semi-finals because it is not everyone who can reach this stage of the competition. In fact, to reach this level you must be exceptional, and it is not only about beauty but more than that. There are things that you’re judged with like general knowledge and charity work, and I want to thank those who were kind enough to help me to achieve all these,” said Kgatla.

Moloto also told Sedibeng Ster that her dream is to become Miss South Africa one day and was convinced that she will achieve her dreams.

“What I was doing today was part of what is required from me to do some charity work that is why I’m here today, to serve the community. It was a great experience to interact with the community, young and old especially these schools children. I’m passionate about changing lives and this Mandela’s Day was a perfect platform to touch the heart of those who are less fortunate in the community,” said Moloto who is a former VUT student.
