Mandela Day celebrated at Ramosokula

The BARRAGE. – The Mandela Day celebrations that were held at Ramosokula Secondary School in Barrage yesterday were outstanding.

The Barrage SAPS and the Department of Community Safety, Pont de Val (UP RIVER), the Lavena Catholic Church, the Dept of Correctional services, the Department of Agricultural, and Sedibeng District Municipality (SDM) Chief Whip’s office joined in cleaning the school as a contribution to the 67 minutes for Mandela Day.

Ramosokula is the school that usually gets the best results for matric in the Sedibeng District and in Gauteng Province, and it is the only high school in the Barrage area.

Barrage police members led by Lieutenant Colonel Sigo and the Department of Community Safety led by Director Pamela Pule donated dignitary packs to girl leaners in grade 8, the Chief Whip of SDM, Mamohale Fatimah- Zahra Moloi, donated paint for the classrooms and also spoke to learners about believing in themselves, being kind to others and respecting elders.

Police spokesperson Sergeant, Nombulelo Mohlakoana said that the sports grounds were cleaned, trees and roses were planted.
