Vultures Athletics Club to host 2024 Road Race

SEBOKENG.- Vultures Athletics Club will host 2024 Road Race scheduled to take place at Saul Tsotetsi Sports Complex in Sebokeng, Zone 14 on July 14.
This was revealed to Sedibeng Ster Sports by Petros Mohalajeng who is the organiser of this 7km and 14 km road race. Mohalajeng said this road race will run under the rules and regulations of Athletics South Africa and Athletics Vaal Triangle. He said the age restrictions for the 14km the participants must be 14 years or older on the race day with the 7km the athletes must be 12 years or older.
“We invite all the athletes and community members to come in numbers. The race is divided into the following categories juniors, open and veterans with winners walking with R500 in the open, with veteran winners walking away with R300 prize money at the end of the race. The junior category winner will receive R200 prize money.
“We invite everyone clubs, athletes and individuals to be part of this race, however the temporary license athletes must wear their race numbers on the front upper body clothing. Athletics South Africa and Athletics Vaal Triangle approved age tags to be won on the back and front of the vest. The 2024 license number must be worn over the permanent license number on the front of the upper body on the vest,” said Mohalajeng.
