Toughest Young Minds invited by church

"It was a 'take home experience', rubbing shoulders with the people whom I grew up admiring in the community."

SEBOKENG.- The ST Mark Apostolic Church in Zone 14 invited the Toughest Young Minds NPO Substance Abuse Out Patient Centre to motivate young people in the church in Sebokeng on Sunday.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Mzwakhe Msibi said it was a great honour for their organisation to be invited by the church to share the stage with some of the well known personalities such as former Sedibeng District Municipality (SDM) Speaker, Kedibone Mogotsi among others. Msibi told Sedibeng Ster that he was also invited to share his personal testimony and experiences with the church’s youth.

Msibi further said that it is a well known fact that young people faced with lot of challenges and some of them ended abusing substances.

“It was great experience to share and motivate these young people because it is not easy for them. I feel sorry for young people because they experience lots of things in their lives. Part of my motivation was to tell them not to give up on their dreams regardless of their challenges, and also share my personal testimony with them. I want to thank the church leaders for inviting our organisation to talk to the young people. This is something that I will cherish for a long time. It was a ‘take home experience’, rubbing shoulders with the people whom I grew up admiring in the community like Mme MaMogotsi,” said Msibi.

Msibi told Sedibeng Ster that the church also prayed for the organisation to get some funding because this is their biggest challenge.
