1. Club evening Monday 14 November 2016
At the club meeting of the Vaal Bird Club on Monday 14 November 2016 Essie and Jessica Dreyer will be giving a talk on ” At our world’s end”.
Venue: Old Mutual Buildling, Vanderbijlpark. Time: 19h00. Guests welcome!
Remember to bring your bird book.
2. Outing Saturday 19 November 2016
The Year-end-Function of the Vaal Bird Club will be at Boschenvaal on Saturday 19 November 2016. We meet at the harbour of Boschenvaal at 07h00.
Bring chairs, a camp table and a picnic/braai lunch. Fires will be provided. Guests are welcome
3. Birding Big Day Saturday 26 November 2016:
Members of the Vaal Bird Club and their friends are encouraged to participate in Birding Big Day 2016. Perhaps you log a bird species, even an ordinary everyday one, that no one else sees on that day and that will contribute to the overall species count for the day!
You need to register for Birding Big Day before the event by completing the online form. There is no entry fee.
If you want a BirdLife South Africa Birding Big Day 2016 cloth bage, however, a minimum donation of R300 per team is required. Each team member will receive a badge. This payment should be send to BirdLife South Africa after the event and before 13 December 2016. See banking details below.
