A birthday celebration to remember

"May you never be broken nor defeated in your duties and noble cause to fight for the liberty of women and the vulnerable."

SHARPEVILLE.- On one’s birthday, it is usually said, “Eat cake, create memories, and have a blast”.

The  Regional Secretary of the African National Congress Women’s League (ANCWL) in Sedibeng, Disebo Tlebere donated 50 pairs of shoes, book covers, and other much-needed learner support material to her former school, Lehlasedi Primary School in Sharpeville on Wednesday.

The  ANCWL in Sedibeng said that it makes sense why the women of her liberation movement, the ANC, recently elected her unopposed to the position of Regional Secretary (RS) of its Women’s League.

“Her love for her people and her exemplary leadership are a marvel to watch. Happy birthday wena Mbokodo. May the gods of this 112-year-old movement and the spirit of those whose blood was shed for this freedom be with you and produce more of your ilk.”

“May you never be broken nor defeated in your duties and noble cause to fight for the liberty of women and the vulnerable. In you lives a Dora Tamara, a Charlotte Maxeke, a Albert inameva Sisulu, a Helen Suzman, a Alinah Rantsolase, a Teresa Ramashamole, and Yes, a Nomzamo Madikizela Mandela.”
