This weekend’s focus will be on MTN8 Semi’s

It will be interesting to see if Chiefs will end Sundown's dominance over them, come Saturday. 

SEDIBENG.- This weekend’s focus will be on MTN8’s first-leg Semi-finals which involves Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates, and Stellenbosch.

They are scheduled to take place on Saturday and Sunday.

The games will be played in two legs with Kaizer Chiefs hosting Sundowns in the first leg Semi-finals at FNB Stadium on Saturday with the return leg taking place at Lucus Moripe Stadium in Pretoria on 23 September. Orlando Pirates will be away to Stellenbosch at Athlone Stadium in Cape Town on Sunday with the return leg taking place at Orlando Stadium in Soweto on 24 September.

However, all eyes will be on the Chiefs and Sundowns match with these two having a  score to settle after Sundowns beat Amakhosi 2-1 in the DSTV Premiership. Both teams come into this Saturday’s encounter with their tails high after their positive midweek DSTV Premiership results.

Amakhosi registered their second win of the season when they beat Stellenbosch 2-0 while Mamelodi Sundowns beat the DSTV Premiership newcomers Polokwane City 2-0 in another midweek fixture. It will be interesting to see if Chiefs will end Sundowns’ dominance over them, come Saturday.

Orlando Pirates also come into Saturday’s encounter as hot favorites after they beat Cape Town City 2-0 in another midweek fixture.
