Sedibeng Netball team needs assistance to honour National Championships
It has been years now, that the Sedibeng Netball team has had no sponsorship and they have had to rely on donations.
SEDIBENG.- The Sedibeng Netball Team will represent Sedibeng at the National Netball Championships scheduled to take place at Rustenburg High School in Rustenburg from 1-7 October.
However, the selected twelve players must each raise an amount of R 5 100 from accommodation, food, and uniform among other things. One of the players who have been selected for the Sedibeng Netball Team is Refilwe Mokoka who is also desperate for financial assistance to honour this prestigious annual netball tournament.
Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Mokoka said that all the selected players must raise the above-mentioned amount each. It has been years now, that the Sedibeng Netball team has had no sponsorship and they have had to rely on donations whenever they embark on tournaments that are outside Sedibeng.
The team has had to struggle to raise funds especially since the players are the ones that are affected by this. Mokoka pleaded with Sedibeng Ster Sport to help her and her teammates to honour this prestigious tournament. She said that most of them can’t afford to raise the money for different reasons.
“This is our plea to Sedibeng businesses, companies, and organizations to help us to honour the tournament. We are not going there to represent our clubs but this is a regional call to represent our region. We will really appreciate it if you can help each of us to honour this tournament,” she concluded.
