SEDIBENG.- Local sensation Relebogile Mofokeng, formerly known as Ratome, is the talk of the town following his spectacular performance during Orlando Pirates’ commanding 5-0 victory over Sekhukhune United in the MTN8 quarterfinals on Saturday.

Without a doubt, this talented youngster, hailing from Sharpeville, is stepping into the footsteps of the legendary former Bafana Bafana dreadlocked midfielder, August Makalalalane. Mofokeng was a force to be reckoned with against Sekhukhune United, significantly contributing to most of the Pirates’ goals on the day. Building upon his impressive showing from the previous season when he was promoted to the senior team, Mofokeng’s talent has been met with the coach’s unwavering faith.

Social media was buzzing with praise for Mofokeng’s exceptional performance during Orlando Pirates’ MTN8 match against Sekhukhune United. He dominated the field, displaying remarkable presence and intelligent passes throughout the game. His contributions were instrumental in securing Orlando Pirates’ place in the semi-finals, where they are set to face Stellenbosch.

Notably, Mofokeng ignited the DSTV Premiership League season with a scorching start, as Orlando Pirates recently triumphed over Royal AM with a 4-2 victory. His play was a delight to watch, as he consistently pressured Royal AM defenders with his clever passes, leaving them with their backs against the wall. Mofokeng’s exceptional first touch is truly a marvel, characterized by stylish touches infused with a touch of arrogance. Facebook comments poured in, with one user describing him as the “pride of Vaal” and praising his representation of the Buccaneers.

Another comment from Bongani Magagula noted, “He is maturing, and Coach Riveiro is doing excellent work with him and the entire squad. With conviction, I proclaim that this is the year of the Pirates. I sense a clean sweep and an end to Sundowns’ dominance.” Moeketsi Mokoetle chimed in, saying, “He will surpass, conquer, and break records. Watch him rise, all the best.”

These sentiments encapsulated the sentiment expressed on Facebook following Mofokeng’s remarkable performance.
