SEBOKENG – A vibrant young talent has emerged, captivating audiences with his electrifying beats and unique style.
Siphesihle Ntamo, known by his stage name Insanity Kid, has rapidly become a household name in the world of Amapiano music.
At just 23 years old, this Sebokeng-born DJ is making waves and carving his path in the industry.
His journey into the world of music began during his high school years.
Back in 2017, while he was in grade 11, he discovered his passion for mixing beats and creating infectious rhythms that Amapiano is renowned for.
What sets Insanity Kid apart is that he is a self-taught DJ, demonstrating his sheer dedication and innate talent.
Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Insanity kid said music runs deep in his veins.
“My journey in music is a sentiment I attribute to my father’s influence in the industry. My father’s footsteps served as both inspiration and motivation for me while growing up. My dad was in music and that led me to love music from a tender age.”
“My early exposure to the magic of melodies and harmonies fuelled my lifelong love affair with music,” he said.
Insanity Kid honed his craft meticulously, absorbing every bit of knowledge and skill he could.
“After completing my matric, I decided to wholeheartedly pursue my passion. I traded traditional academic pursuits for the world of melodies and beats, and I haven’t looked back since,” he said.
His dedication to his craft has seen him grace illustrious stages, sharing his energy with audiences at renowned events.
“Man, I have played in many outlets such that I can’t remember them all. My highlight in my music career was when I played at big events such as the Cotton Fest Activation in Pretoria and the recent Kandy-land Fest at Emerald,” he said.
Insanity Kid’s sudden rise has not gone unnoticed.
He has had the honor of sharing the limelight with prominent artists, including the likes of Tyler ICU, Mas Musiq, and Kaymoworld.
