SEBOKENG.- It was a case of ‘hitting two birds with one stone’ when women launched the Omphile Cognitive Development Center, and at the same time celebrated Women’s Day next to the Zone 11 Clinic, in Sebokeng, on Thursday.

The theme of the event was Real Queens Fix Each Other Crown with every speaker encouraging women to support and take care of one another.

The Omphile Cognitive Development Center Director, Hadiyo Motlou gave a brief background of the center since it started in 2015. Motlou said that it was not easy but through hard work and dedication they managed to pull through, adding that she is happy because they never gave up regardless of the circumstance.

Apart from the launch, there were some activities in the form of drama displayed by the center’s staff related to what women are going through. Women from different organizations shared their personal experiences about life.

“It wasn’t easy when we started but with God’s miracle we are here today to launch this organization and I want to thank my mother for being there for me. I want to thank the board of directors for their dedication to making this organization a success. I also want to thank my staff for their commitment, and tell them that they are the face of this organization,” Motlou said.
