K-Chainz plans to make waves in the music industry

K-Chainz: “In this industry, other people just want to use you in order to reach their goals. I have used this as a learning curve and I have continued to do the necessary groundwork in order to establish a solid fan base and to gain respect for what I do."

EVATON. – Seasoned musician Bongane Elias Kalkop with the stage name ‘K-Chainz Wase Vaal’ continues to make waves in Vaal’s music industry. The 26-year-old from Evaton-West believes that hard work is the only thing that can lead to success.

K-Chainz has been in the industry for over a decade and has released songs such as Ke Vaal Mo featuring Ntja Tsa Teng, Ke Game featuring Amajuve9, Sandton featuring Air-Twest, and La Liga featuring Sech De MC.

When he is not working on his music, K-Chainz pursues his passion for running a football team. Talking about his musical journey, K-Chainz explains that he started as a hip-hop artist and gradually got into Amapiano after he was introduced to the genre by some of the artists he collaborated with.

“I take every gig I get seriously. Whether it is a paid gig or not, I deliver with the same energy because that is me investing in my future.”
K-Chainz says some of the challenges faced by musicians is the lack of unity among them.

“In this industry, other people just want to use you in order to reach their goals. I have used this as a learning curve and I have continued to do the necessary groundwork in order to establish a solid fan base and to gain respect for what I do.

“I would like to thank my family, friends, and fans for giving me the support I need in order to fulfill my dreams. A special shoutout goes to my friend Godfrey Morabe who helps me showcase the work I do through photography.”
