Mama Radebe laid to rest
Well-known local politicians and former mayors of both SDM and ELM such as Mlungisi Hlongwane, Sy Mofokeng, and Gift Moerane also attended the funeral.
VANDERBIJLPARK.- Maria “Mama” Radebe was laid to rest at her final destination in Unitas Park Cemetery over the weekend.
The funeral was attended by past and current mayors and leaders from the ANC’s national office. Sedibeng District Municipality (SDM) Executive Mayor, Lerato Maloka and Emfuleni Local Municipality (ELM) Executive Mayor Sipho Radebe also came to pay their last respect to the mother of ANC Sedibeng Regional Treasure, Johnny “Mkhonto” Radebe.
Some ANC Sedibeng Regional leaders who attended the funeral include Thulani Kunene, and Jason Mkhwane Regional (Secretary). The ANC Sedibeng Women League, MKMVA, and the youth league also bid Mama Radebe farewell. The people’s poet Mzwakhe Mbuli and popular Lesedi FM presenter Thuso Motaung were some of the notable dignitaries in attendance.
