VEREENIGING. – A man was arrested for attempted murder recently after he poured methylated spirit on his girlfriend and then set her alight.

In another incident, Funda states that the Bedworthpark area is now quiet with housebreakings after the community caught two suspects who have since died after they were assaulted by the members of the community while the other two fled the scene.
“In incidents around Vereeniging, a total of 41 people were arrested for various deaths. All the arrested persons will appear in Vereeniging magistrate court.
“We are still pleading with the community to stop buying cars on social networks, more especially OLX because the end results of those deals are very sour as people end up losing large amounts of money.” Funda concludes, adding that investigations into these matters are often made difficult by the scamsters who use unregistered simcards and then disappear.
