Wondering how elections are going in Sicelo?

Sicelo. – The past few weeks a lot of protests have broken out in Midvaal. Residents of Sicelo were extremely upset with the Midvaal Local Municipality and Mayor Bongani Baloyi.

Since last week Monday they decided to stop barricading the roads and the situation became calm, but the police was still on high alert.

Some said that things might get out of hand today with the elections but everything is calm and residents are showing up in their numbers to cast their vote.

Supporters of the DA, ANC and EFF held their head high while posing for photos of their chosen party.

Some residents said they are optimistic about the elections and they need change so that service delivery in Sicelo can meet their expectations. Housing, basic infrastructure and electricity are some of their main concerns.

There is peace in Sicelo and there have been no reports  of disturbance.
