They are now at the summit of the log standings with Richards Bay second on the log with the two being separated by one point. Sundowns has accumulated 19 points from 9 games, won 6 of them, draw one and suffered two defeats while Richards Bay has accumulated 18 points from 10 games, won five of them, draw three and lost two of them. Even though it is early in the season to predict, Sundowns look set to defend their title, come the end of the season.

SuperSport United is third on the log with 17 points from 10 games with Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates fourth and fifth on the log standing. Chiefs occupy the fourth spot on the log with 17 points from 10 games. While Pirates is fifth on the log with 15 points.
