SEBOKENG.- This was Mosimane’s first ever known visit to this region, history in the making.
Mosimane was looking for a young soccer star who was trending on social media/You Tube to recruit him for this academy that is set to be launched sometime next year. This video was taken by one of the popular local photographers known as “Vino Snap”, who is also famous for taking unique football videos. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, former Jomo Cosmos goalkeeper, Avril Phali, said that he was contacted by one of his former teammates at Cosmos informing him that Mosimane wants to come to Sedibeng as he was looking for a youngster from one of the local development teams.
“I received a call from one of my former teammates from Jomo Cosmos asking me about Ikageng Development Club and I connected him with their coach, Mondli Nkosi, and on Monday he came to visit the team as he promised.
“Coach Pitso is on a mission to launch his football academy and he is going around the country to recruit the best talent in the country,” said Phali.
Sedibeng Ster Sports’ attempts to get hold of Nkosi were unsuccessful as his phone kept ringing unanswered.
